Letter of application

Sir/Madam,

I am writing to apply for the adventure project with your company. At present, I am in the second year of the Medical school in Bucharest.
I am very interested in participating in this adventure because I love team cooperation and taking parts in adventures. I believe I am a good candidate for this television series because I work very well with team members and I love taking risks. As a young child I have done many tracks through the mountains with my grandfather and have started loving the wilderness. During the holidays I love going to the mountains especially during the summer time. I never give up. My team members will be lucky to have me because I don’t panic easily and I always figure a way to get out of trouble.
I would appreciate it if you could send me ore details. I would like to know when the television series begin, what the location is and how long will it take. Would first aid knowledge be required?
I am available for the interview at any time. I look forward to hearing from you.
                                                                                               Yours sincerely,
                                                                                                       …

Letter to a friend

Dear Helen,
I am writing to you from Paris, a very beautiful city full of happy people. I am staying in Paris for one week only and I hope I will have time to visit all of the important sights of Paris.  My parents know what we will visit first and what we really have to visit. The weather is fine, but I hope that it will not get worst because I know that weather here changes very often. In the morning we eat croissants whit a cup of tea and if you want you can add jam or butter. In the afternoon we eat fish, sea food or soups and for desert different types of pancakes, or éclairs. At dinner we eat lamb stake or some appetizers. A strange thing is that French people eat molded cheese, pancakes with meat and cheese with grapes.
My parents want to visit many things in one day, which is really…boring. Every day we wake up and take breakfast and then go visit museums. For example yesterday we visited Eiffel Tour which is very beautiful and from up there you can see the whole city. In the afternoon we ate and then we went to Disneyland Paris. We went back to the hotel room and we ate dinner. Maybe today we go to the Notre Damme, Louver Museum and to the Versailles Gardens.  Well, I have to go and visit. I promise I will send you pictures.
                                                                                                      Lots of love,

Report

Participation management skills

            Introduction
The aims of this report are to provide an overview of the course that took place last month, for the improvement of time management skills. The course had seminars each day and useful activities that helped us put theory into practice.
            The course
There were groups in every seminar. The down side of this was that the groups were big. Therefore, I couldn’t ask as many questions as I would have liked about the theory. It was a very good idea to give the theory first, then to discuss about it. Due to the fact that that there were many seminars, I got very tired.
            Personal opinion and recommendation
This course helped me think much better and I’ve never thought like this in the past. I am sure that it will help me be more efficient in the future. I was given very good handouts there with useful information. I would be glad to do this again, hence I would recommend this course to anybody interested in participating. It was full of many techniques that can be easily used in daily life.

Article - Fashion and Changing Lifestyles

Do you think that fashion reflects changes in how people leave? We would like to know how fashion in clothes has changed since your grandparents were young, and what this reveals about changes in society in your country.
The most interesting articles will be published in the next issue of our magazine.

Write your article.

Vintage: in or out
Have you ever seen a picture of you grandparents from when they were young and wondered “what where they thinking” when you looked at what they were wearing? Well, as you might have seen, fashion changes from season to season. After a long period of time, old fashion trends well forgotten over the years, become the new fashion must-have just by changing few details and adding more futuristic ideas.
I personally think that the way we live is a big influence for the way we dress. Many teenagers dress according to their music preference, trying to express a part of their personality. By the way people dress you can tell how much they care about their appearance, what they like and how that person feels in their own skin.
Back when our grandparents were young, they didn’t have much diversity or many choices in clothing. They all dressed similar, all trying to stick to the trends popular back then. Their dressing code was more formal. The girls would wear long skirts and blouses, all in plain colors, nothing extravagant. Nowadays, teen girls wear short skirts and pants with low-cut tops, trying desperately to show all at once. This trend started after people were given a so called “liberty” in democracy, where everybody started dressing as they wished. People started taking advantage of the liberty that the new dress-code allowed. In a few years, fashion went from long dark simple skirts to short tight and neon colored ones.

You should never throw away your used and in this time being “out of fashion” clothes, because you never know when fashion comes back. In the last ten years, a new trend called Vintage Fashion started spreading all over Europe. This is basically buying or using old clothes that your parents or grandparents wore when they were younger. If you happen to go to one of these shops, you’ll find expensive clothes. You shouldn’t worry. All you have to do is open your grandparents’ closet and start searching. You will be amazed at how many “cool” and “in trend” clothes you’ll find all for free.
Fashion changes from season to season, from designer to designer. I think that the most important thing is to wear whatever you desire and not to be influenced by a brand’s name and buy designer clothes like other fools. Whenever you think that the clothes you are wearing are old-fashioned just put them in the back of the closet and take them out when the trend kicks back in. You never know when it might come back or when your grandchildren might ask for them.

Education is an indivisible part of the prosperity of a nation. The more educated and cultured people there are in the country, the more flourishing and thriving the country is. Comment on this issue in 350 words and argument your decision.

Education

Education is one of the most indispensable things in a person’s life. Without it, we can’t conceive a career or have a high place in life’s society. Education makes a country grow and develop. If you had the chance to benefit from a higher education level, you have higher chances of getting a job that is paid better than the others. You have an advantage over other people applying for the same job if your education level goes far higher than the average level. Usually, you get more money on that job because there are few people that can do this kind of work.
If there are more people that make money, the country also makes more money by making prices higher. Some percents of the price go to the government and have more money that go to developing the country.
The more educated you are, the more respected you are. People won’t try to insult you or judge you because they have to respect you. They know you have higher standards and won’t even take in consideration what they tell you because you are more educated. Everybody will look up to you and be considered a roll model. This way, your self esteem rises and you become more confident. You can be admired and can teach other people to also become more educated.
Education makes you a better person that helps you through life but also other people by inspiring them. If also makes the country look good by having good schools and universities. Therefore, education is one of the most important ting in life that a person can benefit from.
