Nowadays, technology has evolved in such way that it makes everything around us easier, including minor activities such as reading a book. Reading is still a very popular pass-time activity that people of all ages enjoy to do. Today, in the modern society, we are influenced to go and help ourselves by using any technology surrounding us.

Reading books in the old fashion way is good because we can take the book where ever we go. If we travel, we just put it in our bag and take it out whenever we want. It is cheap, whereas computers need electricity to run. If you read a book on the computer, you have to sit in front of the screen and you can’t move around. Reading for a long period of time can make us strain our eyes. If you read for too long, you become tired and you might have eye problems.

On the other hand, having book on the Internet makes it easier to search for them. You don’t have to go to a library and search, you only have to type in the name of the book and you find it in a few seconds. Having them on the computer makes it easier to change the font size, whereas on paper you don’t have the same ability.

Overall, I think that computers helps us by finding books that are not available in our region and it helps us by making everything easier from changing the font size to finding the book we want just in a few minutes. Although there is a bad side in using the computer to read books, I think that the advantages it gives us overrule the negative aspects. The technology will probably evolve in this part f technology and invent some devices that can help us read a book in electronic form that cannot strain our eyes.
