Article - Are young people being forced to grow up too fast?

A young people's magazine has asked its readers to submit articles on the question: "Are young people being forced to grow up too fast?" Write your article for the magazine.

Child or Young Adult?

Are young kids too mature for their age? Do they grow up too fast? This is a question asked by many parents and elder people nowadays.
Now, people think that youngsters grow faster in our time then back in the day. With the new technology surrounding us and the influence the media has upon our kids, we see this as a truth. The fact is that they don’t grow faster, they only catch up with technology much faster than older people. It is a know fact that you learn more and faster while you are young and it becomes difficult to do such things when you are grown up. If they learn how to use them it doesn’t necessarily mean that they are not kids anymore. This will help them later on in life since the knowledge of technology is required in most jobs.
The media has some negative influence on our kids. The people that appear on TV or that are shown in magazines are not the role models that our children should follow. They think that if they show a 15 year old girl wearing makeup and dressing like mature women is the way things should be. They start acting and wanting to be like them.
I think that children are not forced to grow up, they just do what they want and learn everything from an early age. There are some bad influences that should be avoided, but other than that, they still do activities that their parents did when they were young.
